EBA 2019 Summer Conference

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | June 9 - 12, 2019

You are Invited to Speak

Call for Speakers

We are picking up where we left off in New Orleans and are continuing to celebrate 25 years as your premier Association. Feel free to look back in time or into the future.

Current Environmental Bankers Association (EBA) members are invited and encouraged to propose presentations for the June 9 - 12, 2019 conference in Philadelphia, PA. To be considered for selection, please complete this submission form by March 15, 2019.

Why speak at EBA? Our conference offers a unique opportunity to share your expertise in a friendly and accommodating environment with industry insiders and senior level managers in the environmental risk field. Speaking at our conference may be your first step toward a future in public speaking! We highly encourage first time speakers to submit proposals. In addition, through presenting at our conference, you will establish yourself and be recognized as an expert in the environmental risk field.

Education Focus

Proposed presentations should in the 25-minute range with time allowed after for questions and commentary. While not essential, your presentation should include discussion of your topic as viewed from a lenders environmental risk management perspective. You are encouraged to seek out banking members to contribute to your presentation and/or take part on your panel. Selected presentations will be positioned throughout the conference. We do our best to offer attendees a wide variety of topics tailored to current issues and risk drivers in the banking, real estate, and environmental fields. In addition, we are looking for presentations that focus on regional-specific (e.g., Philadelphia area) topics with panels consisting of the applicable players (e.g., regulatory agencies, environmental consultants, developers, lenders, etc.).  Since this is our 25th anniversary year, we want to continue celebrating where we came from and where we are headed as an industry. In addition, feel free to think outside the box and propose topics that are forward-looking, or even speculative. What have we done in the past and what will drive our industry in the future? Feel free to take a reasoned look into your crystal ball.

Speakers and topics will be selected to provide a diversity of voices, expertise, and topics for our conference. Speakers may be scheduled into general sessions for the conference on Monday, June 10, 2019 and Tuesday June 11, 2019. Please indicate any time periods during those days that you cannot be available so that we can plan accordingly.

Please note that presentations should be tailored to include a “take away for bankers” and/or be focused on the banker’s perspective.

Occasionally we receive presentation proposals that may be better suited to a future conference or a different EBA educational channel, such as one of our member development conference calls or webinars. We may forward your proposal to other committees within EBA for consideration.

In addition, we may request a short article for your topic to be included in our printed and online EBA Journal, which will be provided to all conference attendees upon check-in.
