Charlotte Conference: Call for Speakers

You are Invited to Speak

Call for Speakers

Current Environmental Bankers Association (EBA) members are invited and encouraged to propose presentations for the June 12 - 15, 2022 conference in Charlotte, North Carolina. To be considered for selection, please complete the below submission form by April 4, 2022.

Why speak at EBA? Our conference offers a unique opportunity to share your expertise in a friendly and accommodating environment with industry insiders and senior level managers in the environmental risk field. Speaking at our conference may be your first step toward a future in public speaking! We highly encourage first time speakers to submit proposals.

Education Focus

Proposed presentations should in the 25-minute range with time allowed after for questions and commentary. While not essential, care should be given to include the banking risk management perspective. You are encouraged to seek out banking members to contribute to your presentation and/or sit on your panel. Selected presentations will be positioned throughout the conference. We do our best to offer attendees a wide variety of topics tailored to current issues and risk drivers in the banking, real estate, and environmental fields. In addition, we are looking for presentations that focus on regional-specific (e.g., Charlotte-area) topics with panels consisting of the applicable players (e.g., regulatory agency, environmental consultant, developer, lender, etc.).

Speakers and topics will be selected to provide a diversity of voices, expertise, and topics for our conference. Speakers may be scheduled into general sessions for the conference on Monday, June 14, 2022 and Tuesday, June 15, 2022. Please indicate any time periods during those days that you cannot be available so that we can plan accordingly.

Please note that presentations should be tailored to include a “take away for bankers” and/or be focused on the banker’s perspective.

Occasionally we receive presentation proposals that may be better suited to a future conference or a different EBA educational channel, such as one of our member development conference calls or webinars. We may forward your proposal to other committees within EBA for consideration.

In addition, we may request a short article for your topic to be included in our printed and online EBA Journal, which will be provided to all conference attendees upon check-in.
