Environmental Banking 101

John Thomas Rybak/BB&T along with additional bankers will present a live interactive webinar covering the fundamentals of Environmental Risk for Lending Institutions.  The presentation topics will cover WHY > WHAT > HOW for establishing an Environmental Risk Department, Policies and/or Procedures.  Essential questions to be addressed are:

    •    Why your bank should have an Environmental Risk Management Dept.
    •    What the essentials are for an ERM Dept.
    •    How to implement an ERM Department

Collectively viewpoints from various banks will be provided.  There will be a questions and answer section. If you’d like to pre-submit your question(s), please send to lisa@envirobank.org.



About the presenter:

John Rybak is a SVP and Environmental Risk Manager for BB&T.  He has 27 years of Environmental Due Diligence experience with four different regional banks.  John has a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from University at Buffalo, and an MBA from Canisius (“Ca- knee-shus”) College.  His focus is on Risk Management and Risk Awareness for the bank.  John is heavily involved in talent selection and coaching, including Vendors and Review Staff, including implementation of a Quality Assurance Quality Control Program based on education, clear definitions of quality, measurements and feedback loops to Vendors/Staff.
