Conference educational overview:

Macro and Micro: Regions, Neighborhoods, Buildings, and Materials

Financial institutions must consider more than just Recognized Environmental Conditions in their operations, underwriting, and risk management.  The Environmental Bankers Association Summer 2017 conference highlights regional issues like flooding and land use; hazardous materials in buildings; compliance with operational permits; and other risk management strategies geared toward bank operations and other business risks in loan underwriting.

We will also have a regional focus on infrastructure and redevelopment in the Northeast region of the United States, with its more compact cities, longer history of industrial activities, and older housing stock.  As part of this focus, we’ll look at the state cleanup programs in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Jersey with their delegations of certain program
elements to certified professionals.
