You are Invited to Speak
EBA Summer 2018 Conference
Call for Speakers |
Current EBA members are invited and encouraged to propose presentations
for the June 10 - 13, 2018 conference in Minneapolis, MN. To be
considered for selection, please complete this submission form by February 23, 2018.
Why speak at EBA? Our conference offers a unique opportunity to share
your expertise in a friendly and accommodating environment with industry
insiders and senior level managers in the environmental risk field.
Speaking at our conference may be your first step toward a future in
public speaking! We highly encourage first time speakers to submit
proposals. |
|
Education Focus |
Proposed presentations should be in the 20 -25 minute range with time allowed after for questions and commentary. While not essential, care should be given to include the banking risk management perspective. You are encouraged to seek out banking members to contribute to your presentation and/or sit on your panel. Selected presentations will be
positioned throughout the conference. We do our best to offer attendees a
wide variety of topics tailored to current issues and risk drivers in
the banking, real estate, and environmental fields. Speaker selections
will be made to provide a diversity of voices and expertise in the key
topics for our meeting, as described below. Speakers may be scheduled
into general sessions for the conference on Monday, June 11, 2018
and Tuesday, June 12, 2018. There may also be opportunities for lunch
speakers or moderators. Please indicate any time periods during those
days that you cannot be available so that we can plan accordingly.
Please note that presentations should be tailored to include a “take away for bankers” or be focused on the bankers’ perspective.
Occasionally
we receive presentation proposals that may be better suited to a future
conference or a different EBA educational channel, such as one of our
member development conference calls or webinars. We may forward your
proposal to other committees within EBA for consideration in one of
these channels.
In addition, we may request a short article for
your topic to be included in our printed and online EBA Journal, which
will be provided to all conference attendees upon check-in.

activities through the deployment of environmental risk management.
Along those lines, our vision is to enhance visibility and awareness of
environmental risk management's global role in promoting environmentally
sound lending and fiduciary activities, sustainable development, and
new concepts of social responsibility for the financial services
industry. |
