Prospective Members Letter

We are pleased to have you inquire about the EBA and have prepared this electronic folder to tell you more about us and lay out the next steps for joining. Our association is multi-dimensional and offers diverse expertise in environmental and energy credit risk management. We address emerging best practices throughout the loan life cycle and for assets/real property held in trust. We look forward to answering any questions you may have and to welcoming you to the EBA.

             The Environmental Bankers Association (EBA) serves those institutions and lenders who have responsibility for managing environmental issues for lending and trust functions.  Today, environmental risk management influences credit, operations/facilities, and image and reputation risk.

             Our association was formed in 1994 and is headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia.  Seven committees focus on critical issues affecting environmental bankers.  Our semi-annual meetings/are like seminars and are an excellent forum for the networking and discussing those of ideas of common interest to all of us inclusive of environmental risk and sustainable development.

             Enclosed is information on our goals, purpose and benefits of participation as well as a membership form we ask all new members to return.

 P.S.  Prospective members are welcomed at one of our meetings in January and June each year. Our next meeting is January 22-24, 2012 in Santa Fe, NM  at Bishops Lodge Resort and Spa.
